New schedule, featuring 6 a.m. classes twice a week

We’re growing all the time, and always trying to optimize our schedule for student needs. Starting this morning, Jan. 13, we’re training from 6 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays … a class we’re calling Dawn Patrol.

Today was amazing! Despite snow preventing several folks from attending, 25 people came to day one. Some had to leave early to get to work, which is fine — we do warmups and technique until 6:45 or 7, then spar until 7:30ish, so come when you can and leave when you need to.

I’ve always loved teaching early morning classes. You get the blood flowing, improve your outlook for the whole day, and know that you got work in early.

Plus, if you come to these, you get a special variant stickers of Kris Stencel’s Bellingham BJJ Sasquatch design. It’s only available at the morning classes, you be like Elias and get yours. (We handed out 25 today).

There are 5 of these bad boys left, so if you’d like one, show up Wednesday at 6 a.m. We promise a good sweat, good technique and good times.

  1. I just had a friend tell me how BJJ changed their life and looked up what we had here locally and found you. Is your dawn patrol class good for those that are brand-spanking new to BJJ? If not, how can I find out more about your evening/weekend classes?

    Thanks mucho!

    1. Hi Marta! Sorry, I’m just now seeing this — we don’t always check the comments as much as we should. I’ll email you, too, but the short answer is our Intro to BJJ program is best for brand new people. We’re thinking of offering an Intro section at 6 a.m. sometime soon. I’ll email you and be sure you get all your questions answered!
