Exciting news: our downtown Bellingham Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy has won the third annual Scepter Awards for businesses making downtown a more fun, vibrant place to be!
On Monday, we’ll officially receive the award — you’re welcome to join us on Dec. 9 at Makeworth Market to celebrate Downtown Bellingham and all of the amazing people and businesses that make it a great place to be. Betsy, Dave and Jeff will be on hand to accept the People’s Choice Award for Bellingham BJJ.

This fun, fundraising event for the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, will feature appetizers from some of your favorite Downtown eateries, a no host bar with holiday drinks created by Makeworth Market, a silent auction of quintessential coveted Downtown items and tons of energy and enthusiasm for the people and places making Downtown the vibrant place it is.
We’re so thankful to all our students, friends, supporters, and fellow downtown businesses for helping make this happen. We’ve only been open 7 months — and we’re thrilled to see where we’ll be in another 7 months, and then another 7 years after that.
